Send questions from your chatbot with MCP
QuizCaddy exposes a remote Model Context Protocol server. Your chatbot can create a deck, check your existing folders and hand the questions to QuizCaddy without copy-paste.

What the QuizCaddy MCP server does
QuizCaddy runs a remote Model Context Protocol server over HTTPS. It uses Streamable HTTP, so the client sends JSON-RPC requests to a single endpoint and receives JSON responses. There is no package to install and no local process to keep running.
https://quizcaddy.com/api/mcpAfter the connection is authorised, the client can call two tools. submitQuestions creates a deck in your private question bank. listFolders returns the folder paths already in your library so the client can reuse exact names instead of inventing near-duplicates such as Maths and Mathematics.
Authorised with OAuth
Which clients can connect?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP and OAuth can use the endpoint. The connector flow differs by client and by plan.
- Claude: add a custom connector under Customize, then Connectors, and approve the QuizCaddy authorization.
- ChatGPT: add a custom MCP server from the Plugins page on plans that expose custom connectors.
- Grok: add a custom connector from the Connectors page.
- Other clients: use the remote server URL and complete the OAuth sign-in when prompted.

What the client can submit
submitQuestions accepts a batch of 1 to 200 multiple-choice questions. Every question must include the question text, exactly four distinct options, the exact text of the correct option and at least one step-by-step solution step.
- Optional subject, difficulty and exam labels are trimmed, lower-cased and limited to 80 characters.
- Optional folder_path accepts an array of 1 to 5 names or a slash-separated string. An invalid path saves the deck unorganised and returns an explanation.
- Optional option_order accepts shuffle (the default) or keep for an official paper with a fixed answer key.

}Folders and filing
listFolders returns up to 300 existing folder paths and whether auto-filing is enabled. It never returns deck titles, questions, folder IDs or account identifiers.
Folder filing is part of the paid plan. On the free plan, listFolders returns folders_locked: true and submitQuestions still saves the deck unorganised. A locked response is a normal plan outcome, not a connection failure.
The built-in MCP instructions ask clients to prefer a two-level Subject/Chapter path, use the syllabus chapter name for the exam the user mentioned and keep the exam label in each question rather than in the folder path.
Duplicates, quotas and answer order
QuizCaddy compares each question with the questions already stored for your account. Exact duplicates are skipped, including duplicates inside the same batch. If every question is a duplicate, no new deck is created.
New unique questions count against a rolling 30-day allowance: 100 questions on the free plan or 10,000 on the paid fair-use plan. A batch that crosses the limit saves the questions that fit and reports the rest as not_added_quota. Deleting questions does not restore the allowance.
By default the server shuffles options and balances the position of the correct answer. It keeps the supplied order for questions that refer to option letters, positions, matching columns or another fixed-order pattern. Use option_order keep only when the questions come from an official paper with a fixed answer key.
Do not retry a quota-limited batch
What the connection can and cannot see
The OAuth consent screen asks for openid and email. The MCP tools can submit questions and list folder paths for the signed-in account. They cannot read deck contents, practice history, mistakes, billing details or another account.
Access tokens are issued to the client you approve. Revoke a connection at any time from Connected apps. Revoking stops future tool calls but does not delete questions that were already imported.
